Baltimore Substance Abuse Systems (BSAS), the substance abuse authority for Baltimore City, is committed to preventing and reducing substance abuse and its adverse health and social consequences in the City of Baltimore.  BSAS does this by ensuring that Baltimore City residents have access to high quality and comprehensive services proven to reduce substance abuse. BSAS has also issued awards to prevention providers who service Baltimore City middle school students who are at risk for school drop-out and substance abuse.
